Product Description
2.4m L/X band remote sensing ground station antenna is used for target acquiring and tracking of satellites, providing a good RF channel for the transmission and reception of satellite signals. It can meet the requirements of overhead tracking.
The high gain lightweight portable antenna servo system includes antenna feed components, servo and tracking structures, and support frames. The antenna module adopts a portable parabolic antenna that can be quickly assembled, and the servo adopts an X-Y pedestal. The X-Y axis transmission device adopts a "module+RV joint reducer" to achieve portable storage and low power consumption. The support frame is made of high-strength aluminum alloy material.
The technical requirement is that 2.4m L/X band remote sensing ground station antenna should be capable of receiving both L-band and X-band signals.
Due to the significant frequency difference between the L-band and the X-band, and the high gain required for the X-band, we have leveraged our company's engineering experience to employ frequency selective surface technology to separate the L-band and the X-band, allowing both bands to operate simultaneously.
The L-band feed is designed as a single integrated structure, with its phase center positioned at the focal point of a standard paraboloid, forming a feedforward paraboloid antenna. The X-band feed is a standard Cassegrain dual-reflector antenna. The secondary reflector exhibits frequency selectivity, functioning as an "opaque structure" for the X-band, allowing for reflection, while it becomes a "transparent structure" for the L-band, allowing electromagnetic waves to pass through unobstructed.

FAQ
1) Why consider the XY mount in a 2.4-meter remote sensing ground station? What are its main advantages?
- Excellent zenith tracking performance and no blind spots
- Simplify servo drive design
- Symmetrical structure, uniform distribution of gravity
2) What are the pointing and tracking accuracies of the XY mount? Can they meet the requirements?
The pointing accuracy of the high-precision XY mount can reach up to ≤0.01° (RMS), and the tracking accuracy can reach up to ≤0.005° (RMS) or even higher. This fully meets the requirements for remote sensing satellite data reception. The key is to ensure that the servo control system algorithm of the supplier is deeply coupled with the XY mount model.
3) How does 2.4m L/X band remote sensing ground station antenna achieve simultaneous reception of L and X bands?
Usually, dual frequency feed source design is adopted. There are two independent receiving channels (waveguide structures) inside the feed source, corresponding to the frequencies of L and X bands respectively, and optimized design is carried out at the feed source interface to minimize mutual interference. The signals are then processed through their respective LNAs and downlink.
